"Fine, but I better not see any pictures suddenly show up online kid. Gotta keep up my professional image around town." Meg was by no means 'old' but the way Tim ran made her feel like she was pushing ninety instead of thirty-five.
Her muscles slowly began to relax, the sharp pain dulling to something much more manageable. Meg kept her foot pressed firmly against the - ah, against the twisted metal bench - for another minute or so before deciding she'd had enough of the dirty ground. She tried not to look too closely but she was pretty sure that there were several cigarette butts and needles just a few feet from where she'd landed.
"You know, someone should really fix this park up," she said dryly as she hoisted herself up. "You know anyone that has an in with the Mayor?"
Tim doesn’t technically like doing morning runs. Sure, he likes running, but doing it without something chasing him isn't as fun.
But if he doesn't want to get winded when he is getting chased, running is a necessity.
He has a few paths he does, one going through the shitty park in town. He likes it because the sidewalks are tripping hazards under ideal situations. Keeps him on his guard so he doesn't drop.
Unlike Meg, his sorta running buddy, who is currently curled up on the ground.
"Well, unfortunately for you, none of those apply to me, so imma stick around."
Tim starts doing some stretches as he stands nearby, waiting for her to get up or ask for help.
